John Marchiafava

John and Silvia

John opened the gallery in August of 2005 after spending thirty five plus years working in and managing some of the better known stores on jewelers row. Marchi’s mission is to support the work of designers and artists he believes in by giving them a showcase to display their work. “It’s exciting to buy and sell things you love and believe in after years of being told ‘to buy what will sell rather than what you like’. Maybe thatπs why most store windows look the same.”

The artists that Marchi has chosen to represent are both well known and yet to be discovered. Their work has been featured in Instyle, Lucky and Allure as well as many others. Best known are Todd Reed’s raw diamond designs whose work has been featured in some of the finest books on goldsmithing and has been honored with countless awards. His work is featured regularly at the Philadelphia Museum of Art Craft show. Sarah Graham whose 18karat and blackened steel seems featured everywhere. “We carry several other emerging artists, in particular Emanuela Duca whose work was recently featured in Allure. Working to get attention paid to local designers is also a big part of the excitement and energy that motivate the store.”
